Cardinals Make Mock Trial Quartarfinals

The LCHS Mock Trial team competed this month in the Gordon D. Schaber Mock Trial Competition at the Sacramento County Courthouse.  The team finished 8th out of 20 teams and moved on to the quarterfinals last Saturday, March 1st.  Saturday, they were paired against Elk Grove High School and lost.  Ultimately, Elk Grove went on to win the entire competition.  At the awards ceremony, Senior Shayasta Jain received two individual awards for being one of the top attorneys and MVP; Senior Cecil Williams II received an individual award as one of the top witnesses for his portrayal of the undercover officer in the case; and Junior Jennifer Kim received an individual award as one of the top witnesses for her portrayal of a doctor as an expert witness.  Congratulations to the entire Mock Trial team!
